How does Aurora Laser Hair Removal work?

Aurora  is a faster, gentler way to remove unwanted hair which long-term results.  It applies precisely controlled pulses of energy (electrical and light,
with cooling tip), reaching into the hair follicles that lie beneath the skin.  The energy heats the hair, right down to the bottom of the root, destroying it
without damaging surrounding tissue or skin.

What does it feel like?

Each pulse, which lasts less than one second, produces a slight tingling feeling.  In particularly sensitive areas, such as the upper lip, it may feel like a
quick, light pinch.

Is it suitable for everyone?

Aurora laser hair removal enables your technician to customize the treatment to match your hair and skin color and type.  As long as there is some
color in your hair (even blond hair has enough color), then Aurora laser hair removal will be effective.

What about side effects?

The energies used by Aurora laser hair removal (electrical & light) are both commonly used in a range of medical and cosmetic procedures and have
proven to be safe.  Most people experience no side effects at all, though a few exhibit some short-term local reddening of the surrounding skin.  You
can return to your regular activities immediately after treatment, although it is advisable to keep the skin protected from exposure to direct sunlight for a
short period of time.

How many treatments will I need?

On average, 6-8 treatments are required to achieve optimum results. I offer treatment packages of 5 Sessions spaced about 4-6 weeks apart.

Why multiple treatments?

The laser will only be destroying the follicles that are in their "active growth" cycles. Our hair cycles every 4-6 weeks on average, and at any given point in
time, contains about 15-20% actively growing follicles. Cycling your treatments catches up with your bodies natural hair cycle to achieve maximum hair
reduction in any given area. ir that was not affected at the time of the previous treatments.  The number of treatments you will need depends on your
hair and skin color/type, the area of your face/body treated.  Your technician can advise you about how long it will take to reach your hair removal goals.  

What results can I expect?

Aurora laser hair removal has been proven to be effective for long-term hair reduction with each individual treatment.  At the end of the treatment
program you can expect your skin to remain smooth.  Hard to target areas or areas that are due to hormonal stages in your life such as the chin will
mostly likely require follow-up treatments over time; usually 1 1/2 to 2 years for follow-up.
